Full import service
Full Import Service
End-to-end coordination across seller communication, purchase, shipping, customs, and delivery handoff. Determined by scope of work, not by who found the vehicle.
When Full Import fits
Full Import is determined by scope of work, not by who originally found the vehicle. It's the right fit when you want coordinated handoffs across multiple stages (seller communication, purchase, export and shipping, customs communication follow-up, and delivery) instead of managing each stage yourself.
What Nexus coordinates
- Searches dealer listings and Japanese auction sources for eligible vehicles matching your specifications and budget.
- Communicates with sellers and exporters, asks the needed questions, and requests additional photos, documents, or condition details when useful or when you ask.
- Connects you with the seller/exporter and guides you through purchase handoffs.
- Tracks export and shipping milestones with the exporter and ocean carrier of record.
- Can connect you with a licensed U.S. customs broker (or work with yours) and facilitate communication and document follow-up. The broker files required entries; you and the exporter provide required documents.
- When delivery is requested, can connect you with U.S. transport-company options and coordinate the pickup and delivery handoff.
What you remain responsible for
- Final approval of the vehicle, seller/exporter, licensed customs broker, and U.S. transporter, whether Nexus provides the connection or you bring your own.
- Contracting with and paying the seller/exporter, licensed customs broker, ocean carrier, port, and U.S. transporter directly.
- Providing accurate documents and information on time.
- Arranging any mechanical inspection you want performed before purchase.
Important boundaries
Nexus is not a vehicle dealer, exporter, customs broker, freight forwarder, ocean or motor carrier, port operator, or Importer of Record. Available-information review is not a mechanical inspection; a qualified third-party inspection must be separately arranged. Nexus does not guarantee auction outcomes, shipping timing, clearance, duty amounts, or delivery windows.
How it works
- Submit a request and confirm 25-year eligibility.
- Nexus reviews scope and confirms Full Import (or recommends a lighter service).
- $500 deposit reserves coordination and is credited toward the total service fee.
- Nexus searches sources or reviews a vehicle you've identified, communicates with the seller, and connects you for purchase.
- Vehicle is purchased, exported, and shipped with Nexus tracking milestones.
- Nexus connects you with a licensed customs broker (or works with yours) and facilitates communication and document follow-up. The broker files required entries; you and the exporter provide required documents.
- Delivery handoff is coordinated with a transporter Nexus can connect you to, or one you provide.
